Saint John River Basin: A two mile ice jam on the Aroostook River caused flooding in a portion of the Village of Masardis, Maine. About 15 families were evacuated from their homes by boat. Widespread inundation of farmland by the Aroostook and its tributary, the St. Croix Stream was reported. Another ice jam was reported to have occurred at Caribou, Maine. The Bangor and Aroostook Railway track was flooded between Presque Isle and Caribou. Flooding also occurred at Fort Fairfield, Maine. At Four Falls, N.B., a bridge was threatened to be damaged or destroyed by the freshet. The David Currie Bridge on the Tobique Valley Road, Victoria County, was damaged. On the Centerville Sub-Division of the C.N.R., water was over the tracks in several places between Fredericton and Long's Creek and the roadbed was damaged slightly. An ice jam occurred at McKinley Ferry and extended downstream to Hartt Island. The jam caused water to back up over the flats and highways at the Mouth of Keswick and along the road to Mactaquac. The highway bridges at the Mouth of Keswick and at the mouth of the Mactaquac River were floated off their abutments. An ice jam occurred on the Nashwaak River at Penniac. In the Fredericton area, the accounts reported that only minor damage occurred as a result of the freshet. An ice jam formed above the Experimental Station, and a few telephone poles were smashed by the ice floes. At the foot of Westmorland Street, some boat houses were damaged by the ice as well as the Capital Garage on Campbell Street. Campbell Street was under water between Phoenix Square and Regent Street except for the approach to the highway bridge. Warehouses between Phoenix Square and Carleton Street sustained minor damage. The intersection of Carleton and Brunswick streets was flooded to a depth of two feet. The C.N.R. subway and Officer's Square were flooded as well as the "Green" at various points. The main highway was flooded at Glasier's and the interval at Lower St. Mary's was inundated. An ice jam at Oromocto Island caused flooding at Upper Maugerville. Miramichi River Basin: In the Miramichi River Basin, a heavy ice jam occurred two miles below Renous. Highway #8 was impassable, with four feet of water over the highway at the Renous underpass. Magaguadavic River Basin: In the Magaguadavic River Basin, some minor flooding was reported as the spring freshet occurred. St. Croix River Basin: In the St. Croix River Basin, the railway tracks were damaged in Washington County, Maine, halting rail traffic to Calais, Maine and points beyond. Railway washouts also occurred between St. Stephen and McAdam, at Moore's Mill and Watt Junction.

Saint John River Basin: At Fort Fairfield, Maine, the flood was reported to be the worst since 1923. Magaguadavic River Basin: At Elmcroft, in the Magaguadavic River Basin, the ice was said to have gone out at "a high pitch".
The damages were stated "to be slight" in New Brunswick and no estimates were given. Magaguadavic River Basin: On the Magaguadavic River, booms broke and pulpwood was swept over the falls in St. George and out to sea.
