Kennebecasis River Basin: "Rivers, which were merely hollows of dry gravel, were filled to overflowing, and then the trouble started. Farms were flooded, and it was necessary to take the residents of the old house on the Dobson Farm from a window." The water rose very rapidly, and from Sussex to Hammond River, cattle were drowned in their stalls. There were also casualties in "all other branches" of livestock. Another account reported that houses were flooded and some floated away. Five dams on Millstream were also reported to be washed out. Bridges were said to have been damaged, and roads were reported to be impassable.
A serious drought followed by "a steady downpour for days" resulted in flooding along the Kennebecasis River and some debris jams.
