Sussex Area: At Sussex, the floodwaters of Trout Creek were reported to have "played havoc" with the embankments of the river adjacent to the Maple Avenue railway and highway bridges. The worst washouts occurred at the eastern end of the bridges. The waters of Ward's Creek were also very high and approached houses and buildings in the area of the bridge on Main Street. O'Connell Park was also inundated.
Torrential rain and melting snow.
No information on the flood magnitude was presented.
No estimates of the flood damage were given in the newspaper accounts.
