Saint John Area: At Saint John, a record rainfall of 3.35 inches [85.1 mm] was reported. Storm sewers were unable to cope with the high runoff. Flooding was reported to have occurred along Rothesay Avenue, Fairville Boulevard (the Golden Mile) as well as portions of McLaren Boulevard, Taylor Avenue, Sandy Point Road and Thorne Avenue. Numerous basements were flooded. An area of approximately 125 acres [50.6 hectares] was inundated in Glen Falls. Some secondary roads in the Gagetown area were reported to be flooded. No serious flooding
Nashwaak River Basin: At Nashwaak Village, the store owned by Austin Clayton was inundated to a depth of eight inches [0.2 m]. The nearby home of Mr. James MacFarlane was surrounded by water and the basement was flooded to a depth of about three feet [0.9 m].
Nashwaak River Basin: In Nashwaak Village, at the Clayton's Store, stock and some equipment were moved upstairs thus averting losses and ice had severed a water line leading to the MacFarlane's residence. No estimates of the flood damage were reported.
