Flood Details - 1952-01-24 - 1952-01-25

Kennebecasis River Basin: "Recent rains have raised the river (Kennebecasis) almost to flood levels several times", but this storm resulted in a heavy ice jam midway between Norton and Bloomfield. At Norton, water levels reached "dangerous" levels. Fields were flooded and about "an one foot" rise would have sent water over the main street in the vicinity of the Norton Superior School. Some basement flooding also occurred in the community.
