St. Stephen received heavy rainfall with total amount of 163 millimetres on Friday, July 26th. Area residents and business owners had localized flooding and power was out for several residents and businesses. A portion of the New Brunswick Southern Railway line in St. Stephen was washed out. This impacted the rail service from St. Stephen to the Northern US, Maine. One hotel, the Winsome Inn, suffered flooding and was evacuated overnight. Many roads were closed in Charlotte and York counties as a result of flooding.
