Saint John River Basin: At Woodstock, the Saint John and Meduxnekeag rivers were running at peak freshet height. The Fredericton to Woodstock highway was inundated at several points. Damage occurred principally at Pokiok, Meductic and the Barony. In the Keswick Valley, the flood also caused considerable damage. The C.P.R. was inundated at various points and washouts occurred at Newbury and at Barton below Millville. In the Nashwaak Valley, the Tay Bridge was carried away. The C.N.R. line from Fredericton to Newcastle was under several inches to water.
Severe fall rainstorms lasting three days.
The freshet was said to be the most serious in the Nashwaak Valley since 1923.
The flood damage reported to have occurred was to roads and railways. In the Nashwaak Valley, some cattle and lumber was lost.
