Online Well Log System

The data that is reported by the Online Well Log System (OWLs) is collected by third parties and maintained to the best of the ability and resources of the Department of Environment. The Department of Environment takes no responsibility and makes no guarantee as to the completeness, accuracy or timeliness of the data provided. Although OWLS provides service to users in either French or English, not all data will be available in the language requested. All data is presented in the language in which it was originally provided to the Department of Environment. Well log information is provided for new or deepened wells, and water quality data is provided for new wells only at the time of drilling. Both data sets commence from the introduction of the Potable Water Regulation of the Clean Water Act in 1994. The Well Log database does not contain information on every well in New Brunswick. It only contains information on those wells that have been drilled since 1994 and properly reported to the Department of Environment. In accordance with Regulation 93-203 of the Clean Water Act, water quality test results provided herein is in aggregate form and does not identify the individual well from which the sample was taken. Any queries that do not return a minimum threshold of 6 wells, will not provide any well log or water quality data. Likewise, any queries that do not return a minimum threshold of 6 water quality test results, will not provide any water quality data.
