Saint John River Basin: In the Saint John River Basin, some barns on the islands above and below Fredericton were damaged and/or destroyed, in particular on Shore Island. At McNally's Ferry, a bridge was knocked off its foundation and a house was completely surrounded by water. The Longs Creek Bridge was under water. In Fredericton, some damage resulted to waterfront property by the ice run. The brick warehouse, on Regent Street wharf was damaged for the third year in a row. An ice jam occurred between Victoria Mills and the Dominion Experimental Station. The Fredericton to Moncton Highway was inundated in places. The highway at Oromocto Flats was flooded. Some homes along the river were damaged by ice and telephone service was disrupted in the Maugerville and Cambridge areas when poles were destroyed by ice. An ice jam north of Sussex Corner, in the Trout Creek bridge area, resulted in 14 inch [0.36 m] ice pans over Route #111. Restigouche River Basin: An ice jam occurred in the south channel of the Restigouche River downstream of Matapedia. The mill at Atholville ceased operation due to the high sediment load in the river during the freshet. As a result of the ice, the placement of log booms was hampered. Miramichi River Basin: In the Miramichi River Basin, ice jams occurred at Doaktown and McNamee. The C.N.R. were using dynamite in an attempt to release these jams.

No estimates of the flood damage were reported in the newspaper accounts. The damage reported appeared to be related to the disruption of services and was caused by ice.
