Saint John River Basin: A rapid rise of water occurred at Grand Falls on October 31. Cattle and hay were lost at Keswick. Lumber was lost and residences were damaged at Fredericton, but losses of goods stacked on wharves were avoided because of a telegraph message sent from Grand Falls.
