Saint John Area: In Saint John, widespread flooding was reported following in the wake of a rain storm which dumped 23.8 mm of precipitation during a 12-hour period. Ice build-ups, which blocked catchbasins, kept works department crews busy trying to clear them. The worst areas included Fairville Boulevard, Manawagonish Road, the Wall Street overpass and Cranston Avenue. Rothesay Avenue and Glen Falls were reported as "not being in bad condition".
The storm brought 23.8 millimetres of rain and freezing rain to the area during a 12-hour period with 18 millimetres falling in one six-hour period alone.
