Kennebecasis River Basin: In the Sussex area, two periods of rain were reported with heavy accumulations of snow on the ground. Parson's Brook was reported to have overflowed its banks, surrounding the Maples, the Long farm and the Murray home. An ice jam on Trout Creek was reported to be responsible for considerable property damage in the Sussex Corner area. Sussex Area: In Sussex, work crews were kept busy clearing ditches and catch basins. Numerous complaints were received concerning flooded basements. Ward's Creek overflowed, causing problems in the Magnolia Avenue and Malone Street areas. Malone Meadows and the O'Connell Park were also reported as being inundated.

One period of rain occurred from January 27 to the 28th, and the other on February 2. Winds were estimated to be between 80 and 100 miles per hour [130 and 160 km/h] during the afternoon of February 2.
No estimates of the flood damage were presented.
