Affected Areas


Many parts of Kings County were affected by the severe summer storm resulting in damaged buildings and flooded roads. Highway #9, from Sussex to Fredericton was inundated at several locations by the torrential rain and many gravel roads were washed out. Roads were affected in the vicinity of Waterford. At Sussex, about one-half of the dam at the swimming pool near the Boy Scout Camp was washed away.
A severe electrical storm accompanied by torrential rains.
