Affected Areas
Restigouche River Basin: An ice jam occurred on the Matapedia River at St. Alexis Station, Quebec. Another large ice jam occurred below the Matapedia Bridge. The Quebec Department of Highways attempted to open the channel using dynamite. There were no reports as to whether this attempt at removing the ice jam was successful.
