Kennebecasis River Basin: In Kings County, the January thaw sent the rivers, streams and brooks over their banks, but not sufficiently high to cause any serious damage. At Sussex, numerous blocked catch basins resulted in some flooding. The eastern end of Broad Street was reported to be almost entirely under water. A danger point in the Kennebecasis River, two miles [approx. 3.2km] west of Norton, was reported "to be free of ice jams".
No information was presented except that "almost all of the more than one foot of snow present had disappeared from the open spaces".
