Southeastern New Brunswick: On April 9, a 26 foot [7.9 m] section of the Shediac Light and Power Company's dam on the Scoudouc River was washed out. The onslaught of water carried away a 200 feet [approx. 60 m] highway bridge, known as MacDougall Bridge. The debris, logs and high water broke booms at Smith's Mill, sweeping the logs out to sea.
Snowmelt (due to high temperatures) and heavy rains.
