Southeastern New Brunswick: In the Sackville area, the precipitation initially fell as snow, then turned to rain. The storm was accompanied by very strong winds, which caused much more damage than the flooding. Telephone and telegraph lines sustained widespread damage in southeasteastern New Brunswick. Storm conditions prevailed throughout southern New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and the New England coast. The Nova Scotia coast was described as being "swept by hurricane weather".
The storm was also reported to have caused some basement flooding.
