Saint John River Basin: Some crop damage resulted in York, Sunbury and Queens counties mainly due to the winds and heavy rains. In Queens County, the Nerepis River overflowed its banks creating considerable damage. St. Croix River Basin: The Maine Central trains, out of Calais, were cancelled due to several washouts. The streets of St. Stephen were reported to be flooded. Southeastern New Brunswick: At Sackville and Moncton, "catch basins were taxed to carry off the miniature flood".
Heavy precipitation and high winds.
On August 26, heavy rainfall was reported to have occurred in Carleton County, at Moncton and Saint John. An official figure of 2.44 inches [62.0 mm]for Fredericton brought the present month's total up to 4.04 inches [approx. 103 mm]. Between three and four inches [75 mm and 100 mm] of rain were reported to have fallen in the Moncton area on August 26. In August 1922, there was an abnormal amount of precipitation of about 5.77 inches [approx. 147 mm].
Some damage was reported to have occurred in the St. Stephen, St. George, Saint John and Moncton areas.
