Miramichi River Basin: At Newcastle, the easterly gale pushed the high tides over the top of many of the wharves along the waterfront.
Some logs were lost on the receding flood.
An easterly gale, accompanied by high tides.
The tides were reported as "not being as high as those of a year previous".
No estimates of the flood damage were presented.
